Learning for Older Students

Our educational program, designed around Rooted Family’s philosophy, offers a unique school day structure for our high school-aged students (ages 13-18). With longer class times, we prioritize peer discussions and in-depth study,  allowing students to shine in their gifts, talents, and interests. This year, our students will enjoy chemistry in science, music, gym, lunch with peers, and finish their day with a project-based block, which will incorporate history, writing, community service, and entrepreneurship.

We teach toward the level of the oldest children in the room while adjusting assignments and expectations for the younger students’ levels. This allows us to challenge each student and allows the older students to set an example for the younger ones while the older ones learn to be role models and mentors. 3

The Friday Schedule
